Hey everyone, we are back again with episode 39 of the Say Labas show, this week’s theme is LOVE, LOVE, Love in Lithuanian (All you need is love right?). The episode was of course recorded in Kaunas, and was suppose to be recorded and released around Valentine’s Day but we missed that mark… oops!!! you know what we don’t love? the weather lately… We are well and truly over it. There are signs of spring which is somewhat promising, hear about it on the show – hint – Gandras!
In the show we spent a little time talking about what’s been going on lately with us here. A Quick recap a fish called stinta, Lithuanian Football, Solveiga’s new found role as a Lithuanian Tutor and the old architecture around Kaunas. We also continue our new segment 60 Seconds with a Lithuanian, this week’s Lithuanian is one of our new friends called Valdas. He is a crazy basketball fan/player and loves passats! :) – Which makes him O.K in our book!
The town of the week is a very small town with only 278 people living there – Andrioniškis but it has a fascinating history (Like most of the towns we do…right), the lesson of course covers some useful vocab and sentences with a “Love” based theme (So romantic!) – Solveiga manages to bore Tim to death with this week’s news but you be the judge, we wrap the show up with Tim’s Fun fact which surprises not only him but Solveiga too, It’s all about Hot Air balloons… Yes Hot Air balloons!
